1. What is your budget?
$1000, I'd prefer to spend $800 max.
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15.6 inches
3. What screen resolution do you want?
doesnt matter
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Portable, I will still have my main shrine to Gaben
5. How much battery life do you need?
I'd like something that could stay up for at least 5 hours, but I don't know if thats feasible with what else I'm asking.
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Civ V - High
Smite- High
CS:GO- Medium to High
Chivalry Medieval Warfare - Medium to High
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Typing and reading
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
750 gigabytes would be the minimum
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
newegg.com and amazon.com are some sites that I know are reputable
10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
I'd like to keep it for probably At LEAST 4 years, but I don't need it to still max out games in for years, I know that's hard to do with my price-point.
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Blu-ray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
DVD is fine
12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Acer, just because I've heard mainly bad things about their laptops
