School Paper-progression of computer components throughout the years!-Finding info

Hey guys,

I need some help finding good reliable info on computer components throughout the years for my school paper! I know there are some tutorials on here, but I can't seem to find the ones I want. Can ya help me out? I'm not expecting a paragraph, maybe a link? Just help point me in the right direction and I'll do the rest. THANKS!

what type of components? tom's has some real nice slideshows following cpu and gpu progressions.

if you click the gpu or cpu tag at the top of your screen, right at the top of the list is "the history of _____" amd/intel cpu's and amd/nvidia gpu's. should be a good start.
