Visitors to the chocolate factory, respectively adopted, squashed?,
squeezed, covered in walnuts and shrunk.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. One of them blew up to look like a
grape (or somesuch), one drowned in a chocolate lake (or not). I forget
which one is which.

I think it's Teevee, though.

According to the book (ie not the film) "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

They are the five Golden Ticket winners.

Charlie Bucket - Wins the contest which entitles him to take over the
factory.
Augustus Gloop
Violet Beauregarde - I thinks eats something and turns purple?
Veruca Salt
Mike Teevee - Shrunk by the chocolate transmitting machine and stretched
back to normal size.
