Question Scorch Marks on HDD power lead

I have some scorch marks on power lead of 3.5 hdd SATAIII drive (because of a fire). I replaced the faulty psu modular adapter but do you think it's safe to connect the hdd back like nothing happened or replace the hdd?

Not all of the gold looking power leads have the scorch marks, only about half.

Without knowing the reason behind the scorch marks, no.

I might use a $20 USB SATA dock as a sacrifice.
As I do with any suspect drive.
