Hi guys just got a new cpu (i5 7400), a new mobo ( asus 250plus) and some ddr4 8g 2400mhz ram. When i run benchmarks, it always scores lower than it's supposed to by a lot. The fps in games is also lower compared to my old cpu ( fx 6300 ). My turbo is set to enabled in bios, but cpu never reaches 3.5, it always stays at 3.3 even when in stress test, temps are ok for all, 35 idle cpu, gpu around the same, the mobo is always at 25 30.Do you have any idea what could be causing this ?

Thank you for your time.

wow, well all round slowness your right.. your cpu should be in 6-8K numbers not 3K. so lets start with that
get speccy or any other temperature software and tell me what temps your pc is running at right (idle) and if possible when running under cpu testing ?

looking at HDD, Video Card those numbers look normal

Idle 35 when it's not doing anything and im in chrome rn at its 43. In the stress test it never goes past 61.

Yep...This might be pretty stupid but i didnt get a disk for the drivers, so i just downloaded off the internet. That shouldnt be a problem right ?

did you notice on that page it spotted 29% Usage when you ran that test ?
" High background CPU (29%). High background CPU reduces benchmark accuracy. Find active processes with windows task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC). "
do that keystroke and look what is hogging your cpu power ..

The only thing that i had opened was chrome, i'll close everything and do ti again..

I saved it. http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3618313. This one says the cpu is doing good, i dont understand 🙁.
