I have a question regarding the Scott Mueller books that I am positive many are familiar with. Are there any current books that are equally as authoritative? What category would be the best to post my question under?

By category you mean under which Forum section, then I think this sub-forum link might be the appropriate place to ask, IMO. Assuming this is just a general question regarding the upgrading/repairing PC books by Scott, and not related to some specific hardware in general.
