Now that I hopefully have your attention, how big of a PSU would you recommend for:

LGA 1150 gaming motherboard
i5 4670K
8gb (2x4) DDR3 RAM
GTX 770 GPU
1tb HDD
128gb SSD
+- 7 case fans
120mm CPU air cooler.

Unfortunately I'm not sure of the specific brands for the components, the case, or the MOBO size as yet.

I was thinking something in the 600 - 760W gold/platinum range should be more than enough?

i would go 700-800 at least bronze especially if you plan on sli or overclocking

550W bronze, unless you plan on adding another video card in the future.

Gold and Platinum will save you a tiny bit of money on your electric bill. Though nothing wrong with quality.

Any LGA1150 Z87 'gaming' motherboard above $100 or so will be perfectly fine. So much of the important things for Haswell are on the CPU, only the available connections vary from board to board really. And any board boasting z87 quality will have decent enough VRMs for overclocking.

You probably want a GTX770 with aftermarket cooling. ASUS DCUII, MSI Twin Frozr, or the like.

You'll want 1.5v ram @ 1866 or 2133.

700w would be plenty, and give you room for overclocking. The gold/platinum efficiency is only if you want to save on energy bills. In the long run getting a gold/platinum will save you a bit in bills but there won't be any effect on performance. If you want to upgrade to SLI later I would go for a minimum of 750w, I'd recommend getting a good 800w powersupply. Brands; I would go for XFX, Seasonic, Enermax, Antec, or Corsair. They make very reliable PSUs.
