Very interesting project I've been following as of late. Scouge:
scourge.sf.net seems to be a lot of what I'd like to see in future
RLs. 3D engine that allows lots of cool 3D features, but still a 2D
game and very familiar setup. Its only at version 0.6 right now and a
lot of polish is missing. However Development seems to be moving along
at a very steady if not accellerated pace. I've not had much time to
try the latest version, and I've not gotten far in previous versions
as the UI is still pretty new to me and not totally intuitive yet. But
I'm exited and hopeful!

Yeah, I tried it, and the graphics were cool...but the game was totally
unintuitive and confusing to me.
Please make it easier for the newbies Scourge developers.

Hi,
if you have any suggestions on how to improve the game, please let me

Hi,
if you have ideas on how to make the game easier to play, please let me
know! It's a one-person project and nothing's carved in stone yet (excpept
a few runes of dubious power...)
Thanks!

Well, how about a nice tutorial? Something interactive which guided the
new user through a first mission?
I know these can be boring, and need to be turned off for the veteran users,
but without it some games just aren't inviting.

I can't wait to play, but my computer is much too old to run it. When
my girlfriend comes home from school, maybe I'll convince her to
download it.

It looks like Egoboo. Has anyone invested much time playing Egoboo?
Its control scheme wasn't compatible with my girlfriend's laptop
keyboard.

I like roguelikes with graphics, even dainty bitmap art. Graphics
immediately set apart a roguelike. I think too many look like ADOM
clones. Some ASCII interfaces and maps are very attractive, however,
such as NetHack's (sleek) and TOME's (pretty and animated) and a few
other beta/alpha only releases the names of which I can't remember.
