Hi there,
I've just received my brand new PS3 controller to specifically play Rocket League. I installed scptoolkit latest version, installed the drivers and all is fine. Though, every time I plug the controller in a popup message notifies me that the ds3 controller I'm using is fake.
Should I trust it?
I used to own a PS3 and from what I can recall the controller I have now is just as heavy as the ones I had back in the day.
It even came in a Sony branded package, has the Sony brand and the Dualshock 3 logo on it...
Is it really fake?

EDIT: I used to play with a Logitech F310 and I can totally tell the difference. The PS3 controller has more sensitive analog sticks and the car spins much faster when air rolling.
I chose the PS3 controller over the ps4 because, according to some tests people have run on the two gamepads, the PS3 analog sticks seem to cover a much wider area when rotating than the PS4 ones.

I've never used scptoolkit so i cannot confirm if it's a glitch or he's right about your controller.

Although, if it feels original and it seems as good as a previous one you had, it's probably original too. There are tons of YouTube videos that make comparisons between fake and original controllers, check those out to see for youself.

Do you have any warranty on it? If it ever breaks, you can switch back and get a new one...
Did you buy it from a respectable source?

Also, if i may, i use DS4Windows. It's a great program, very plug-n-playish. I've never had problem with it and my PS4 controller. If you concern is about the pop-up messages, this one may not show you and give you some peace of mind as well.
