Question SCPToolkit USB drivers only work once

When I connect my PS3 controller to my laptop, it worked flawlessly until in which I unplugged the controller or put the laptop in standby or off state. When I turn it back on oe reconnect the controller, I have to uninstall and reinstall the DS3 USB driver. What am I doing wrong here?

which version of SCP is it? 1.6 or 1.7?

If I sleep it it won't work anymore (if disconnected then reconnected) until rebooted

i wonder if base driver is still from 2015. Its been an ongoing problem for a few years.
