I have a dell optiplex prebuilt and the powersupply is not big enough to cope with a graphics card upgrade. So I am thinking of relocating it to a different case with a new powersupply and cooling.

Question1 -
Will the increase in wattage damage the motherboard (intel standard blue motherboard)?

Question2:
will the cpu act adversly to increased wattage and cooling for overclocking? (intel i5 - 4590s)

thanks

Solution
ans 1 ) No , it wont damage the mobo until you exceed 2 kw

ans 2) Well no again , , , ,but in a worst case scenario.....you cpu might get a little heated up if you power consumption is very less than the available power...............but you can use a 212 evo to get rid of the heat
