Hello guys, I`m new on this forum. Umm I`ve got this problem on my mind and it kept upseting me for a couple of days thinking about it and I decided to get some clearence on this forum.

So I`ve got my GPU GTX 1060 3gb ARMOR edition about two years ago and a couple of days when I was cleaning my pc (of dust) I notice that the back pcb on the GPU has a little tiny scratch on it and I`m going to attach a picture. My card is working just fine and it hadn`t showed any problems so far (2 times in firestrike, and heavean engine 5 times, no crash, back to back) but I`m still concerned that it might be a long-term thing with this scratch. I dont know guys.. I`m just overthinking stuff im sorry..

I have a few questions and I hope you can answer them.

1.Hypothetically speaking, how would a damaged GPU PCB would function? Would it catch imagine at all at POST? It would`ve freeze or crash?

2.Maybe an experienced one can answer this. Should I worry about that scratch or am I making a big deal out of nothing?

3. The black foil on the PCB is for protection or just fashion?

It's fine, that wouldn't make the slightest difference. The black plastic layer covering the tracks is there for this exact reason - protecting them from damage. It looks like it hasn't gone through so you've got nothing to worry about :)

It depends if the scratch broke a track or not. The symptoms would depend entirely on what track, so there's no real answer to question 1.
