Question Scratched motherboard with screwdriver, scared it may have damaged it

Faalin has a good idea with the nail enamel (if you have some, go for it) but I really don't think that it will ever be a problem because with motherboards, you either damage a circuit or you don't. You can see the actual circuits zig-zagging below the mark and they're nowhere near it (in motherboard terms). I once accidentally fried an old craptop motherboard in a similar way and I can tell you that if you hit anything that wasn't inert, the board would be toast.

Putting some nail enamel over it like Faalin says sure won't hurt (and it's cheap peace of mind) but if you don't have access to any, you could just put a little dab of silicone RTV sealant over it which would achieve the same goal. It just has to be something non-conductive that will prevent anything else touching it.
