[SOLVED] Screen Artifact in New Laptop

Does anyone know what these screen defects are? The laptop is a recently purchased ASUS VivoBook 15. They only appear against dark backgrounds. I uploaded an image of the defects against a black screen. You can see two light dots, and what appear to be bright smudges. I would like to identify the problem before calling tech support or cashing in my warranty. Thanks in advance!

Looks like a screen defect/pixel area from the pic. It's not backlight bleed, and not a single "stuck" pixel.
