Question Screen black

When I attempt to power on my HP laptop, the keyboard lights up for a few seconds and then turns off. The screen remains completely black and does not display anything. I have tried several troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists.

What have you tried prior to the creation of this thread on the forums? It's so we're not repeating ourselves

Please mention the model to your HP branded laptop and it's SKU. If the battery to your laptop is external, then disconnect from the wall, disconnect the battery, disassemble the laptop and remove the ram from the laptop. Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Use an eraser on the ram stick's golden contacts, wipe clean off of any lint and then reseat the stick(s) of ram.

Connect to the wall adapter(not the battery) and see if you're able to get the laptop to POST and boot to OS GUI.
