Screen brightness settings

I have a dell 15 5000 series

I can not turn down the brightness in windows or anywhere ales iv look for drives But could not find any??

Control Panel >> Power Options.

You should see a brightness slider there at the bottom of the window.
Click on the pointer and drag to the left.

Nothing happened on the power information on the taskbar it says brightness 0% and it colored out

Okay, try uninstalling monitor in Device Manager (right-click on Generic PnP Monitor then choose Uninstall).

Then from the menu bar, click Action >> Scan for Hardware Changes.

It dose let me change the setting now but has no effect
