Screen crashing to solid striped colors! Please help!

Hi, i have been desperately trying to solve this problem. My computer crashes after playing a game for a while. Heres what it looks like. http://m.imgur.com/Jh8hj97,NDbCbhy

I am not too good with computers but know my way around one. I just put this together for my first gaming computer ever. Yes i have updated everything possible including drivers, etc. Please help me ill do anything to fix this.

Have you been checking the temps of both the cpu and gpu while in game?

it could be to over heating or then its a bad gpu that you need to rma. start with checking temps in game.

it could be to over heating or then its a bad gpu that you need to rma. start with checking temps in game.

Yes I have checked the temps and it is not the temps. Temps seem to be normal.

what are your temps for the cpu and gpu?

Have you checked all the cables that they really is connected all the way in?

And is it only in games you get this or do you get this too when you watch videos etc?

Try to run a progrom like furmark 3d mark or so to see if you get it when the gpu is under load.
