Hello, So recently i've noticed that my computer has suddenly started displaying little grey fragments and lines across my screen whenever I move a window, or tab in and out of programs.

They seem to occur seemingly randomly, they don't appear in games or anything like that, and tend to only crop up when i'm browsing the internet or similar activities.

I haven't touched my GPU (in terms of overclocking/power), I haven't touched my monitor settings, I've tried unplugging and plugging back in the monitor, and none of this seems to work.

Strangely, upon uninstalling my graphics card drivers, and going into safe mode, there wasn't a single artifact, and upon reinstalling my drivers, there were no problems (for the past two days.) However, now I noticed when I started my PC that these small fragments started to dot around my screen again, and I really don't know why.

System information:

  • Intel Core i5 4690k @ 3.5Ghz.
    AMD Sapphire R9 390X.
    8Gb of Corsair Vengeance RAM @ 1333mhz.
    250gb Kingston HyperX SSD.
    750gb Seagate HDD.

I appreciate any help that people can provide, I should also mention i'm running Windows 10 64 bit. Thank you.

This could be a heat and/or power issue, a defective GPU, or too high an overclock.

What are your GPU's operating temperatures at idle and under load? What is the make/model of your power supply (PSU)? Are you overclocking anything (CPU, GPU, memory)?

I haven't tried to overclock anything. My GPU is currently at 42 Degrees Celcius whilst i'm just watching youtube etc. My PSU is a corsair VS 650, 650W.

I'll run heaven benchmark or something and tell you the temperatures whilst that's running.

I'm about 90% sure. I've tried the auto-detect utility and i've tried downloading them manually. It seems to have stopped at the moment, though I can almost guarantee it will begin to happen again in the coming days.
