Screen flashing black randomly

Hello,
My screen randomly flashes black repeatedly and then will stop, then maybe do it again later... no real pattern. It happens in games a lot, sometimes on Windows 10 home screen. Ive reinstalled drivers like 5 times and used DDU every time. My monitor is an Asus pg278q and my gpu a msi gtx 1070. Im using a DP cable and ive tried 2 cables, both do it.

MSI GTX 1070
Asus z170a motherboard
2x WD blue HDD's
1x sandisk 120gb ssd (OS Drive)
1x sandisk 480gb ssd
Corsair rm650 psu
Asus pg278q monitor
Logitech g502 mouse
Corsair k65 keyboard
3x corsair fans

Also have a tv for a second screen using hdmi on 1080p 60hz. Only plug it in when im watching films though.

Go ahead and read the manual. It will tell you how to update the bios.
