I've got an MSI Bravo 15 AMD Ryzen 7 4800H 15.6" laptop. The screen is occasionally flickering. Happens about twice a day for about 10 to 15 minutes then goes away. The screen does not go black, it just does the vertical flickering. The laptop is about 15 months old. The problem started about one week ago.
To test it I connected an external HDMI monitor to my laptop. The screen flickering does not happen on the external monitor.
Could this mean there's an internal cabling problem with my main monitor? Or something else causing the problem?
My laptop is running Linux Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Gnome Wayland. The problem also happens in X11. The problem continues to happen even after doing a reboot. The problem goes away after about 10 minutes for no apparent reason.
Let me know if you need any other info.
