Screen flickering problems...

Hi guys,

Im having a problem with my screen and it is that when i have my pc on for a while the screen starts to flicker and when I restart it instantly stops but when I have my pc on for about 12 hours it begins to flicker again. I have my pc connected to my tv through the hdmi port. Here are two videos that I recorded with my phone so that you can see for yourself:

My pc build is as follows:

Windows 10 Pro 64 bits
GA-990xa-ud3 rev 3.0
AMD Fx-8350 overclocked from 4.0 to 4.7ghz
Seasonic M12II-750 EVO 750W
2x Kingston savage ddr3 1866mhz ram
MSI r9 290x Lightning
Kingston 120gb ssd

Any help would be greatly appreciated... !

Might the hdmi that isn't working. If not, then it might be the computer just getting overworked because you shouldn't leave it on for too long

When you say hdmi do you mean the graphics card or the cable?
Is 12 hours really too long to leave a pc on? :S

I mean cable. And 12 hours isn't too long I just shot in the dark 😛

Well to start with I did find that a display port cable from my GPU too my display fixed many of my problems on my new set up and I did have lots of micro stuttering this may help

Have you tried the HDMI cable in your motherboard HDMI slot for a while? See if it flickers when not using the GPU (You have to take out the GPU to use the on-board video as an installed GPU overrides on-board)

I will try changing the cable and wait to see if it flickers...
And my mb does not come with onboard graphics so it need the graphics card to display an image... :S

Hmm okay, do you have a spare GPU and PSU so we can check those components in the pc.

Hey guys I started to get the flickering problem again and I simply removed the cable from my graphics card and blew on it and when I plugged it back in it was fine again.
Could this be because of some kind of reset in the graphics card from removing the cable and reconnecting it or the cable itself...??
