Screen flickering

Hi i recently bought a new saphire radeon HD6870 and a GX750w PSU, put them in a new case with my old motherboard HDD and CPU. Everything seemed to be working fine but i have noticed that my screen (24" LCD) flickers slight when in games and even slightly when in idle and no programs are open. I've cleared my old gpu drivers and its still going any suggestions would be helpful thanks!

have the same problem. mine blinks once in a while. traced the problem to my monitor. it does not flicker on my spare monitor. has nothing to do with the gpu or the motherboard. no problem found when i had it serviced. so i changed all the cables.

it still happens but i suspect that the backlight on the monitor is dying.

maybe ill trying swapping out my vga to anther input

tried using HDMI instead of VGA still get the flickering

if it does not crash, it's probably your monitor. if you dont have a spare monitor, try your tv.

that way, you'll verify if it's the videocard or monitor.
