Screen freeze with weird colors help

Hello! Today i experienced a screen freeze with weird colors on it when i tried to reset my overclock because i've seen some artifacts.I reinstalled the drivers and deleted any overclock including the program Sapphire Trixx.I'm now pretty worried if i damaged my GPU.Everything is fine now ..but i'm worried for the future of my GPU 🙁

You most likely just overclocked the card a little to far. IF left like this for a long time it could cause damage but the short amount of time it was to high will not hurt the card. There is nothing to worry about. Your GPU will be fine.

How fast was your overclock (MHz) when you saw the artifacting?

It has stopped artifacting now that you've restored factory clocks, right?

500W 80+ Bronze certified is not enough information. 80+ is only an efficiency rating and does not represent actual unit quality in any way. What is the make and model of your power supply?

As long as the card went back to behaving normally, the issue was probably just that your OC settings were too aggressive. Most of the time when users see artifacting, it's because their core speed is too high. Even an OC of only 10MHz can sometimes be the difference between being fine and seeing massive artifacting.

IF you want to know if your GPU overclock is stable use OCCT's GPU test with error checking enabled. Set the shaders to 3 for an Nvidia GPU and 7 for an AMD GPU. DO not use the PC while this test is running as it will give false positive errors.

OCCT has other tests in it I have found them to be unreliable except for the GPU test. If there is an artifact the program will tell you as long as you have error checking enabled making this one tool invaluable for overclocking the GPU.

Now my card is behaving normally with no artifacts. I increased the stock mhz 1342 to 1390 and when I reset it my pc froze. Now at stock I don't see any errors
