Screen goes black after login

Whenever i start my pc an i login my screen goes black (its still on)? Im currently running a test copy of windows 10 home.
I have a r9 390x
I5 4960k @ 3.4ghz

does taskbar show up? What happens if you hit ctrl alt del? what happens if you restart PC?

try disconnecting all extra USB devices or speakers or extra monitors, and restart and see if its any different - it could be the device isn't answering windows in time and explorer just hangs.

try a clean boot, it may be a program loading at start up, this will tell you if its windows or not: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/kb/929135

Went to a local pc magician an apparently my gpu was broken, ty for the help anyway
