Screen goes black, but the computer still on.

Hello all,

Very recently Ive been having a problem where while playing games, my screen will go black, and essentially crash my computer. I lose my sound and it cuts out my keyboard, but the computer and fans are still running. Ive tried everything I could think of to fix the problem ( video drivers, dusting, reslotting various devices) but no fix. I also know its not an overheating issue as my average temp when this happens is about 40-45c

Specs:
Intel i7 3770 @3.5ghz
16g ram
Amd radeon r9 390
Asus p5q motherboard
Corsair hx750 powersupply

Please help!

Download ddu and select amd. Select clean and shut down. Then take the gpu out of the pci slot and check for dust, reseat the card firmly, make sure all the wires are secured, etc. Then boot, go to amd's website and download a fresh set of the latest drivers and install.
