Home built desktop started having problems last night. Son said display started turning gray with vertical lines. Then went black.
Turned off power for few minutes and restarted it. Bios screen flashes up quickly, then asks if want to start in Safe or Normal mode.
If I select Normal mode the Windows logo starting screen appears momentarily then the screen goes black.
If I select Safe mode the display stays on fine.
Btw, it does the same thing with my monitor attached as well.
Wondering if graphics card died? Computer has worked great for 3 years.
How do I troubleshoot this?
