Screen goes black when i open any program

I need help, just installed a new gpu i have a nvidia geforce gts 250. And whenever i open a program and click on the window my screen goes black. If im on my home page and just click around nothing happens. Only when i open up a program. Any help? Im not really tech savy or anything.

Did you remove the drivers or simply install the new one on-top of the old ones? Download DDU (Display drivers uninstaller):

Save your work and close your other programs. The utility will suggest that it be allowed to boot your computer into safe mode to run; please let it do so. Then after it's rebooted itself into windows normal mode, go to Nvidia's site and download the latest drivers (but exclude the geforce experiene) with a custom installation. Please do this right now and then report back here.

Also, could you please state your full specs. Thanks.

It didnt work.. i got the same problem here.. everytime i launch an app.. it goes blank but the laptop still running
