Question Screen goes black while playing games

Aug 12, 2019
Hello, i've recenlty built my new gaming rig (everything is new except for the GPU, and i doubt it's the culpirit here).

This is the following setup:
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
  • CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Prism (yes, i am using this but it will be replaced soon by a Corsair H100i Platinum RGB)
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Gaming B550-F
  • RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 16x2gb 3200mhz CL16
  • GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT
  • PSU: Corsair RM750 80 Plus Gold
  • Case: Corsair 465X
  • HDD 1: Seagate BarraCuda 3.5" 2TB SATA 3
  • HDD 2: Toshiba DT01ACA200 2TB
  • SSD: Samsung QVO 860 1TB
  • SSD M.2 NVMe: PNY CS2130 1TB SSD
  • Keyboard: Corsair K68 RGB
  • Mouse: Corsair M65 Elite
  • Mouse pad: Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma
  • Monitor: ASUS TUF Gaming VG27WQ 165Hz Quad HD Curved
I tried playing some games, it works just fine. But with games like Alien: Isolation or Metal Gear Solid 5: TPP the screen goes black randomly (in alien isolation's case) and it goes black until i alt + tab with MGS. Ita also happens randomly with league of legends and Metro: Exodus.

I checked all the pins of my GPU and PSU, they are well connected, i am using a Display Port cable to connect the GPU to the monitor. I am running the monitor at 165hz. And i don't know for sure if it's using freesync or no.

EDIT: I am using MSI Afterburner to monitor my pc components. The GPU driver version is 20.7.2
EDIT 2: The temperatatures of my GPU are around 70-80ºC
