screen goes black

I have a Quizmo vista laptop. My screen goes black after a hour of use only when using the internet. Then I have to shut it down and restart. If i do not get on the internet then the screen is fine. Whats wrong?

Did you run a virus and spyware scan on the system? Does it just go into power save mode, is it exactly an hour of use then it does it? Or about an hour? Do you use the laptop for anything other than internet access? It could be crashing from overheating, but if you don't really use the laptop for anything else you will have no way of testing it.

I have consider it over heating but the screen going black only occurs when im using the internet. I have watched movies and used other programs for several hours with no issues. I even updated internet explorer, but it did not fix the issue. when screen goes black, nothing works. only option is to shut it off but to do that the power button must be heldndown for 6 secs. I talked to Toshiba support and they have no idea whats wrong.

I've seen issues with Flash that locks up the system, try using a different web browser, Firefox if you use I.E. now. Make sure you have your driver and Windows updates done.
