Hey!
I am experiencing some troubles: In my system I have a 12900k and a Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity. The System has a Seasonic Prime 750W PSU. (and no, the issue is not the psu)
My issue is, that whenever the GPU is hit with a rather heavy workload (Rendering H.265 in Premiere), the screen goes blank and all the fans in my system ramp up to max.
I did some monitoring and found that shortly before all the fans ramp up and the screen goes blank the GPU's temps are around 70° C/158°F. The issue also rarely occurs when playing games.
My question now is, could it be that the manufacturer of the GPU messed up with the thermal paste on the chip(Card get's too hot before I can even get a propper temp reading?) or could it be something completely different like a malfunctioning driver? - What causes the screen to go blank and the fans to ramp up? [One more thing: Sometimes, after the "crash" the screen resolution is sth like 640p and in Windows device manager the GPU has the staus "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"] {Running Windows 11}
Please help me out with your knowledge!
Thanks,
Max
