screen goes blank and sometimes like old tv without cable connection.

hi i have this problem with windows 8 64 bit when i installed it first time after some days it goes black and after that repeatedly screen went black or making a hoarse sound and screen seems like old tv without cable connection(dont know what actually it says).but when i reinstalled my windows 7 64 bit it was like before calm and stable as usual.actually i thought that it was my ram issue so ichanged to new corsair 12 gb (4*3) but same thing happened and after that i changed my motherboard and processor also but the problem still persists.so now i have two old thing one is my graphics card and the hard disk.so now i am going to change my gpu for gaming as it was bit old so i am getting a new asus nvidea gtx 960 4gb so as usual i will have to format once my computer so i am thinking that will it be possible for me to go with windows 8 or not as i can not understand what the problem is?either gfx or hard disk.so can anyone pls suggest me that actually what is wrong with my computer?(pls dont suggest me to try windows 8 32 bit as i play lot of higher games so it needs 64 bit now a days for fully utilise the ram)..Thanx in advance

i would check the gpu and did you check the monitor on another system with is cable .

@scou_03 actually i didn't check.but what u have said i dont understand.u mean its gpu's fault or harddisk?what do u ythink about the hard disk can it be possible??

gpu is used for video and if it start to be defect you wont have picture on screen and does the monitor tell you no signal when you have black screen ,for the hdd use scandisk and the maker software to see if it pass both of the test for it .

no monitor still has signals and the screen was continuously blinking,not every time it goes black.but what you have told me to do about hard disk actually i didn't understand.will you please tell me what u have told me to do for the hard disk again.

test it with the maker software on short and long test that will tell you is something wrong with it .
