Solution

I have this problem as well... just started today tho. Pretty sure I didn't have it yesterday. So is there any chance you have installed:
MSI X-Boost, MSI RAMDisk and|or AMD RAMDisk? (I have just installed those within the last 24 hours)

For other people
The problem shows when starting up notepad and wordpad only (so far) all monitors turns to a yellow-ish tint.

SOLUTION!!!
It is MSI XBoost!
If it is set to Office mode. then it will change the tint of the monitors when starting up "Office"...
Is it just the Notepad window or the entire screen?

Not sure what may have happened but hopefully it is only a configuration issue.

E.g.:

There are other similar links.

See if you can narrow down the circumstances or otherwise provide more detail.

Thanks.

What OS are you using and what versions of Notepad and Chrome?

Try some different background screens to see if the problem stops or change - maybe to some other color.

Go into Notepad's display options. See if there is a setting there and affect the problem. Remember to only change one thing at a time and keep notes so you can reverse/restore an orginal setting if necessary.

I am leaning towards some software conflict or bug in Notepad.

Are you able to reinstall Notepad?

Full disclosure: Not sure about any specific suggestion(s) at the moment.

Open Notepad and at the far left select "File". Go down to Options.

Explore the various settings and see if any appear different than you expect or otherwise raise a "?' in your mind or appear amiss. Some setting that you know does not match or fit in with your overall Windows 10 installation and configuration.

Maybe some unexplained add-in.

There are many, many OneNote options. The objective is to look for some option that may be causing the problem. And hopefully only needs to be changed or disabled.

E.g.: Under Audio & Video there are configuration settings for Video recording settings.

May not seem to have anything to do with the yellowish tint per se but one never really knows how some configuration conflict or mis-matched configuration setting may manifest.

Experiment some with the settings to see if you find something that either fixes the tint problem or perhaps changes the color.

Only change one thing at a time and keep notes so you can reverse a change that created some other issue.

I am, for now ignoring Chrome. Not a Chrome user, but I am curious about what Chrome tab was involved. May provide an additional clue.....

Thanks Clare3Dx,

it indeed it is the MSI XBoost app because i tried everything, even all defenitions in windows 10 and Adobe reader plus notepad, and when i read this post i remembred that i change the defenition in msi xboost app to Office and before it was file transfer.
All is well now.

Thanks again.
