Screen Is Black

Hi, I'm experiencing problems with my PC whenever I turn on the monitor, it will look for a signal, then the screen goes black with the number 99 at the bottom right hand corner.
It's not the Monitor, GPU, or my HDMI cable btw.

how do you know it's not the Monitor, GPU, or HDMI cable? what is the make & model# of the monitor & the computer or motherboard?

Mobo: MSI 970A G43 Plus
It's not my gpu cause the monitor turns like a charcoal-ish color when it receives a signal
It worked yesterday thought perfectly
Also it's worth mentioning that my cpu spins fast when i turn it on then slows down after 3-5 secs
and also yesterday when I turned it on it beeps 5 time but when it shows a black display it doesn't beep

It was a problem with my one of my USB connections, and why not lol

Well I checked on MSI forums to see what did the 99 mean and it mean't that one of your usb connections had a problem so I disconnected my mouse and headset and it worked

try reconnecting 1 device at a time to see which is causing the problem.
