Screen is flickering

I usually get black flickering on the bottom half of my screen every so often and i have been reading around that it could be the monitor of the graphics card. Also people said to uninstall drivers such as nvidia or direct x drivers. I was wondering if any one could help and provide links on how to uninstall these drivers or any other helpful suggestions? Help would be much appreciated!!

Most commonly it is a under powered graphics card, meaning your power supply is not strong enough to run the system.
Not knowing what you have makes it hard to determine if that is your case. I would not bother uninstalling anything till your sure it is not your hardware that leads down a long path of wasted time. Let us know what your setup is to include your monitor hookup.

I have a nvidia gtx 970 sc as well as a evga 650 gq power supply. My monitor is a Acer G246HL with a HDMI to DVI Adapter Cable. I definitely dont feel that my graphics card is under powered.
