Screen is full of white stripes and color and resolution is messed up

A day or so my computer sudenly crashed, i strated it up again and it was looking like it had white stripes all over and the resolution is att the minimal and tells it got a blue screen(will input crash dump when i can asap as im having trouble navigating the screen atm) and it sounds like the fan on the gpu is going at 100% all the time when it usually was on around 20% when idle. I suspect the gpu (ASUS Geforce GTX 560ti) might be done as its a couple years old now. Tried updating the driver as it told that was one of the causes for the crash but it didnt do anything.

Yep, could be bad card or power supply. Best way to see if it's the card or not is to test the card in another system with a known good power supply, if issue follows card, it's bad.

Not without replacing your card with another of the same wattage and seeing if that works.
