I bought the Palit Geforce GTX 1060 Jetstream 6 GB prior to that i was using the integrated graphics card from my CPU (i5-6600k) and i didn't have this problem. I'm using a HDMI to VGA adaptor cause the monitor is a bit old. The graphics card came with a drivers DVD which I can't use cause my case doesn't have a DVD-ROM so i downloaded my drivers from here www.palit.com/palit/vgapro.php?id=2664&lang=en&pn=NE51060S15J9-1060J&tab=do It didn't change anything. I restarted my PC 2 times and checked if the cables are connected correctly and they are. I just don't know what to do

Solution
Firstly its best to download the latest drivers from Nvidia directly.

Ok I actually had a slightly shaky screen a few years back which was resolved by changing the monitor cable. I would unplug and reconnect the cable and adapter, if the problem persists then try a new cable and adapter.
