Hello,

I recently got a new video card, R9 390 8G by MSI, what a waste, anyway, the screens are about 4 to 6 years old LCD and used to be connected with DVI. They're now connected with HDMI. (Screens: 3x Iiyama 24" ProLite E2407HDS)

The middle screen started making a noise when it's cold? Or startup. The speakers are off, is it time to replace them?

Also, when I turn a screen of, I can hear the hardware disconnected sound in Windows. Is this normal with HDMI? If so, HDMI is not for me.

Solution
if it is a humming noise(or high pitched sound(that doesn't vary a lot)) then it is proberly the capacitors in the moniter dieing/on there way out. also since you moniters are about 4 - 6 years old, it is quite posible that that is the case
if the problem is the capacitors, then it doesn't need to be an urgent fix, but eventually you will have to get a new moniter.
