Hi every one this is my first post sorry if this isn't in the right spot.

Today I replaced my old cpu with an FX 8350, I'm not really experienced with PC`s but I'm confident I didn't mess anything up (hopefully)

But when I'm finished with everything and start my pc like normal, it seems to start normally, except normally my pc makes a beeping noise shortly after starting. This time it didn't.

To make matters worse, my monitor didn't pick up any DVI source. I'm pretty sure I hooked up the cables right too, I double checked it.

So what do I do? I asked a friend who said he thinks it might be my graphics card, but I'm fairly certain I didn't mess with it at all. Or have I simply messed up by not putting the CPU in right? I really need some advice, since I've waited quite some time to upgrade my CPU only to find out it doesn't work.

Solution
Somewhat vague. There could be very specific reasons it's not posting, but the sticky here covers more general issues.

I would look at things like accidentally knocking certain cables and giving everything a thorough check. The first thing I check is whether the motherboard supports the CPU (if it doesn't every other check is pointless).
