hi guys,
i have a question about resolution...
i have graphic card Asus R7 260x
https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/R7260XDC2OC2GD5/
My monitor is TV ( F&J FLED19891MP4 ) and resolution can support is 1366 X 768.
Connect with HDMI..
when prees right click and screen resolution max resolution can select was 1920x1080... after update graphic card can select 2560x1440...
on site of graphic card Asus writes Digital Max Resolution: 4096x2160
so i should not have options 4096x2160 but watched 1366 X 768 ?

drivers download Auto by AMD : Automatically Detect and Install Your Driver
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
and updated after notice when open the AMD catalyst control center..

btw in AMD catalyst control center ---> My digital Flat-Panels --> Properties (digital Flat-Panels) says Maximum reported resolution 1920x1080...
and in ''screen resolution'' recommended resolution is 1920x1080
maybe it is problem of graphic card ?

i hope you understand.. my english is not so good

So is it working with 1920x1080 and 2560x1440? If not, then it is mentioned but not supported. If it works, then 4096x2160 might not be supported by your monitor so that is why it is not shown. Not really understand what is the problem here.

work 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 but i don't know why it work.. my monitor support up to 1366X768 but i can select up to 2560x1440.. so can i select up to max resolution graphic card ? if yes why can't select 4096x2160 ? if no, i can select up to max resolution of monitor. so why i can select 2560x1440 and no 1366 X 768 (monitor resolution)

Max resolution graphic card : 4096x2160
Max resolution monitor : 1366x768
Max resolution i have option : 2560x1440
recommended resolution : 1920x1080
WTF ? :p

there are the resolutions supported by your gpu and the ones supported by your monitor. in windows there is an option to dispaly only the resolutions supported by your monitor.! most 720p monitors like yours can support 1080 however i (interlaced) scan and not p (progressive) . higher than 1080 resolutions cannot be applied! furthermore earlier HDMI interface is limited to 1200p anyway.

You can set whatever resolution you want, but will it look good? You can also set custom resolutions somewhere in settings (depends on driver). It may be a driver issue, not being able to detect your monitor optimized resolutions.

is TV and Not Monitor... I tried to update monitor but not found something when search automatically, is not unknown or play display but name of brand tv..
Btw i tried to use other monitor sony and other Samsung and resolution is same.. up to 2560x1440.. only change recommended resolution..

tv or monitor both are displays. since you arent using the appropriate driver(which may not exist for your specific display), obviously the res list is inaccurate.

with your tv if you play action - fast games or watching movies seaking fluid motion, prefer 1080i . if however you need accurate picture quality and better fidelity then 720p should be your preference.
