Screen resolution problem GTX 1060 - 6GB - Gamewind - Everything too big/Missing screen section

As stated in the title, I recently purchased a Nvidia GTA 1060 but it doesn't seem to handle my screen resolution which is 1920 x 1080, everything is too big, pixelated and some parts of my screen are missing, I've tried to resize using the Nvidia control centre but this just degrades the quality of everything on my screen. I've never had any problems with the onboard card, an AMD card and this monitor. Any help is much appriciated - just incase it helps my monitor specs are as follows -

Maximum Resolution 1920x1080
Contrast Ratio 1000:1
Type LCD TV
Screen Type Y
HD Ready / Full HD / Ultra HD Full HD
Brightness (cd/m²) 300 cd/m2

You had an AMD card before, did you uninstall the AMD drivers and install the nVidia ones? You may need to run the DDU utility to wipe the drivers before installing the nVidia ones. Is your resolution actually set to 1080 in the setup, and at the correct color depth (should be 32 bit)?
