Screen resolution,VGA and HDMI stuff

i recently connected vga port from my cpu to a tv...for gaming purpose. But not able to get proper resolution ,video tearing(only) idk something got to do with vsync ,buffering shit (help me in that if you can).i am thinking whether i can connect hdmi cable to cpu and use vga to hdmi adapter to TV ( because i dont have hdmi port). Will this idea work? im so confused ( sony bravia lcd klvs32a10)......or should i go back to my lame old small screen

Your monitor is 1366 x 768 resolution and TV is most likely 1920x1080 thats why you dont get proper resolution. To fix resolution follow this:

If you dont know your TV resolution just click detect at 2nd step
