screen resolution won't change

I can't change the screen resolution from 640 by 480 because the little pixel won't move to the right, even though it is all the way to the left. How can I fix this so I can increase the resolution?

Reinstall the latest drivers for your monitor and video card.

i kind of have the same problem but maybe a bit different. Not only the
screen resolution won't change, i can't see my cursor too. But when i
open my PC in safe mode, the cursor is there! i don't know what is
wrong with my pc. It was okay the day before.

Wrong Video Drivers or display drivers

Control panel / Mouse and choose a different cursor

or you are using the Same color Background as your Mouse is using
