Screen resoultion help!?!?!?!?!?

Hi,
I have an asus moniter (forgot what its called) but i have a HD 6970 graphics card (using dvi) but i cant even get 1980x1200 i can only get 1980x1080. Can some tell me how i can get better resoultion?

P.S my screen is 21.7 inchs
P.SS i habe a hdmi cord. Should i use that?

If your screen is only 21 inches I doubt it even does 1920x1200 (1980x1200 isn't a resolution).

Get the model of your monitor and I will look it up for you.

ALl it says its called is an "asus ml238"?? is this any help? if it not can you tell me how to find out what its called?
