Hi,
I'm running Windows 10 64bit ver 2004.
I have a new issue with both my screen saver and my power off display settings.
Neither setting works when I am logged in with my main (admin) account.
I have tried with my screen saver set to 1 minute, and my turn off display set to 2 minutes.
I have also tried with my screen saver set to "none" and my turn off display set for 2 minutes. When I am logged in nothing happens. If I log out of all accounts, the turn off display works.
This is a new problem. My screen saver previously worked fine (usually had it set for 5 or 10 minutes) and the displays would power off after 15 minutes. I've just noticed the problem in the last few days. I have not added any new programs but a few have had automatic updates in the last few days.
So far I have tried:
1- the Troubleshooter/Power
2- SFC Scannow
3 - DISM routine (all 3)
4- tried disabling the USB Selective Suspend
5- checked display drivers are updated
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Anything to look at in the Windows Logs?
Thanks!
