Screen Saver won't come up

I have a Toshiba laptop running Windows 7. For some reason, my screen saver never comes up. It will go to sleep on it's own though.

My laptop says I have a "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family" for my "adapter type." It also says that it has 1696 MB of available graphics memory, 64MB of dedicated video memory, 0MB of system video memory, and 1632 MB of shared system memory. (I used pcmag.com to find out where to get that information.)

I'd appreciate any suggestions that may work to get my screen saver working again. (I lost it after needing a new hard drive.)

Sounds like the power option is turning the monitor off before the screen saver timer is counting down. Change the time for monitor power option to never, if you just want the monitor to go to screen saver. I suggest keeping the power option though as lcd and led screens have screen life, usually around 50,000 hrs. The more that the monitor is on the more likely the inverter or something else will fail though in my experience and having many computers desktop and laptop this has only happened once.

Thanks. That was the problem. I googled how to adjust when the screen saver kicks in & mine was set for 30 min. I changed that to 2 minutes instead of making it so my laptop won't go to sleep.
