I am usin Gigabyte board with intel G33/G31 chipset board with 1 gb ram and 160 gb hardisk with samsung LCD monitor..

My problem is When i start my computer during BIOS, POST screen till the Windows Xp login screen both sides of my monitor left and right is getting shrink to the middle and after Windows login screen its streching to normal screen and we can work normally .
and if i load the game i can see the same shrink screen .. again .. one of my friend said that is BIOS graphic support problem ..

Drivers are properly installed ..

Can anyone support and explain me about this problem and what should i do ... my mother board is under warranty period ..
and what should i do

nope, not a bios problem. Your monitor has certain resolutions it can support and the standard VGA or even nonstandard size is the default boot screen size before your video driver initializes is being used. Once the driver initializes it uses the correct screen resolution and your screen straightens out.

The monitor should have a screen settings control that tells it how to handle different resolutions such as auto-scale, auto-fit, or don't scale, etc. Yours looks to be set to don't scale or don't auto fit. There is nothing wrong with that but if it bothers you, you can set the Monitor, not the video card to auto scale and it will stretch the window out.

When you run a game you are running it at a lower resolution than windows so it goes to a small screen in the middle of the monitor. Once again, if you set your monitor to auto scale, it will stretch it out to fit the screen.
