Hello guys,

Athlon II 440 (Planned upgrade to PII 965/980 this month)
Asus M4A785TD-V Evo
4GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600Mhz
XFX 6850
500w OCZ SXS

Currently using a 32" TV as a monitor, which is great, however the resolution is only 1360 x 768.
Whilst the image clarity on the screen is not bad, I'm wondering if I should upgrade to a 'proper' monitor.

A friend has offered to sell me a 23~24" 1920x1080 2 m/s 10000:1 monitor, however I am unsure if the increased resolution is worth the big loss in screen size.

1) Will games look THAT much better on the 23" monitor?
2) Would the FPS decrease in games be that noticeable when switching to the higher resolution?

Cheers,
Daz

Solution
1)games will look bettter, bigger size=more pixel spread, if the screen is smaller, and also has more pixels, then will defeintly look better.
2)the fps decrease is noticable, obviously depending if the games is pushing ur gpu to the max.

wether its "worth it" is entriely personal and for you to decide.
