Question Screen sometimes runs at 60hz instead of 144hz ?

I've had this problem, and I just cant seem to figure out what happens. I have a dual screen setup to my 2060RTX. My main monitor; MSI 144hz, and my 2nd monitor; Samsung 75hz. Usually when I boot up games, my MSI screen displays 60hz. When I unplug it, and plug it in again, it runs at 144hz with no issues. Sometimes, it just runs at 144hz without me plugging it in- and out. It happens with different games, so its not the game settings. The MSI is already selected as the main display in the system settings. It's just annoying to plug it in and out when I boot up games.

RTX 2060 MSI GAMING Z TWIN FROZR 6GB
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
MSI MAG321CQR 31,5'' 2560x1440 (connected to with DP)

Have you tried disabling G-Sync through nvidia control panel?

My monitor isn't G-Sync compatible, so the setting doesn't show in the control panel.
