[SOLVED] Screen starts to flicker and turn black when switching from 60hz to 120hz,

My monitor is older one, iiyama prolite g2773hs, 1080p and 120hz and my graphics card is amd radeon rx 580 8gb and I connected them via 24+1 pin DVI cable and installed latest drivers for both monitor and graphics card, but when I switch to 120hz in display settings it starts to flicker and turn black and it just loops like that. Any help would be appreciated.

try a different DVI-D cable that you know for sure functions properly and see what result you get.

This one is new one I bought, I'm thinking about trying HDMI 2.0, will it work?

so you don't know for sure if it functions properly unless you've used it in another setup.

as long as you have HDMI out from the GPU and HDMI input on the monitor.
2.0 can definitely handle 1080p 120Hz.
