Screen stuck windowed playing far cry 2?

Whenever i alt+tab into windows whilst playing far cry 2(fullscreen) it goes into a wondow and i am unable to maximise it again? 🙁 I can exit the game and re-open it which fixes it but obviously i would rather not have to. Any ideas?
